Could it be that Labour have exercised one of the biggest confidence tricks in history and propelled someone as Chancellor and Prime Minister who’s well below the pay grade?
I’m thinking about all the howlers of the past 12 years and particularly the last couple.
I mean the attendance allowance scheme is just one more example. What’s his idea on this? He’s had weeks to think of something and the main arguments have been rehearsed ad infinitum. All his advisers needed to have done is look at internet forums for half an hour and tweak them. They do know how to use the internet don’t they (snigger!)
It’s not as if he’s not got tonnes of advisers to help him.
