There’s a new `run on the Government`: Is it Brown in the frame?

It’s the usual story. The Press are scenting blood having ensured there’s a pile of stories to drip feed out as and when they choose. Last week it was Jackie this week it’s:

GEOFF HOON!

Something caught my eye as I think `who’s next?`

Ah – there you go:

Last year, Prime Minister Gordon Brown received £17,073 in controversial Additional Cost Allowance (ACA) payments and Chancellor Alistair Darling £9,837 despite both living in Downing Street.

So let’s be clear. The person that wants the CSPL to quickly review the situation either didn’t find it unethical or perhaps chose to ignore ethics. Even though he has a huge salary with a grace-and-favour home he decided to still claim from the taxpayer for a second one!

Let’s repeat that – the Prime Minister that helped us get into the economic mess that is particularly hurting our more deprived communities and core Labour supporters feels fit to ask those same taxpayers to help with a second home when he has grace-and-favour lodgings.

This is the same man that has presided over the largest house price increase in history that has kept many people off the property ladder or which is raising repossessions. No wonder people think new Labour are `all in it for themselves`

LIBERAL DEMOCRATS – GET OUT THERE AND TELL IT LIKE IT IS!
