Liberal Democrat Economic Recovery Plan – Where’s Genghis Khan?

Great – another email saying in terms of one syllable our plans for the Economy.

So I look at our website – nope not a dicky-bird about it where AN ORDINARY PERSON WOULD LOOK.

I’m sorry but i’m getting TOTALLY FRUSTRATED about our lack of abilities to communicate to John and Jo Soap from Cowley Street.

What one has to do (as the link provided at the bottom of the email shows) is to click on `news` before the plan can be viewed (click twice).

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

IT SHOULD HAVE ITS OWN BOX THAT STANDS OUT LIKE A SHINING LIGHT ON THE TOP OF THE WEBSITE UNDERNEATH NICK’S MESSAGE

What I object to is if you praise the website and then say `but so and so needs doing` all I get in response is `thanks for saying good things about the website` without any reference to my second comment – that of putting our economic recovery plan on the front page in big neon lights.

Am I the only person to feel so frustrated? What’s the point of Nick, Chris and Vince doing all this hard work if we don’t shout it from the rooftops?

  1. The latest version of the plan was launched today and we’ve got an extensive online communications plan for it, including both Nick’s site, the federal website and widespread emails.

There’s always a choice between emailing internal party audiences first or not. If we don’t, people complain that they weren’t given advanced notice; if we do, people complain that the information hasn’t also already appeared elsewhere. To be fair, it isn’t normally the same people 🙂
