I’ve emailed the Russian embassy

Knowing that Richard Younger-Ross tabled his specious amendment about Eurovision there looks likely to be a bigger problem – that of human rights for both the Muscovites and the visitors travelling there next year (that is if they choose Moscow).

Given that a lot of LGBT people go there perhaps someone could write to the Russian authorities asking about these concerns?

I for one are weighing up the options. Hostility from civilians is one thing but not from the Police.

As such I have asked the Russian Consulate by email whether given the Moscow Mayor’s remarks I should go – and what can they say to entice me there.

I await with interest.
