`Speaking for the whole country`

Another chuckle was had when i found the following link:

Whether anyone CAN actually speak for the whole country is a moot point. Perhaps a cultural would-be dictator?

Given latest events one wonders whether what he really means is `speaks for the 200,000 swing voters in marginal constituencies and Labour Party members`.

In any culture there will be the mainstream, the disciplined off-beat and quite frankly the wacky. By and large Liberal Democrats have a healthy dose of the second type. A culture always needs those who `think the unthinkable` or `say the unsayable` and challenge the status quo for it to progress.

The attitude of `speaking for the whole country` is a very worrying attitude of a Prime Minister.
