Well done to Cllr Dave Kent for winning the Moss Bank by-election in St Helens. This has meant that the Council remains in Lib Dem hands and is a vindication of the way the Lib Dems run the Council.

Lib Dems 1480 = 53.90
Lab 1011 = 36.82
Con 111 = 4.04
Grn 73 = 2.66
Ind 71 = 2.59
Maj = 469 or 17.08%
Turnout – 31.86%
R vote = LD 18%, Lab 11%, Con 1.3%, Grn 0.8%, Ind 0.8% (2 in 11, 1 in 9, 1 in 80, 1 in 80)

an 11% swing to Labour in the same seat since May last year.Any further vindications like that and the LDs will be out on their ear next May.
